How to detect error with beep ?????
AST BIOS

  • One short --> CPU register test failure
  • Two short --> Keyboard controller buffer failure
  • Three short --> Keyboard controller reset failure
  • Four short --> Keyboard communication failure
  • Five short --> Keyboard input failure
  • Six short --> System board chipset failure
  • Nine short --> BIOS ROM checksum error
  • Ten short --> System timer test failure
  • Eleven short --> ASIC failure
  • Twelve short --> CMOS RAM shutdown register failure
  • One long --> DMA controller 0 failure
  • One long, one short --> DMA controller 1 failure
  • One long, two short --> Video vertical retrace failure
  • One long, three short --> Video memory test failure
  • One long, four short --> Video adapter failure
  • One long, five short --> 64KB memory failure
  • One long, six short --> Unable to load interrupt vectors
